Ibiza Sunset

   O pôr-do-sol mais lindo que já vi. E dizer isso é uma afirmação arriscada, afinal, para mim, essa sempre foi a hora mais espetacular do dia, nunca igual, sempre impressionante. Mas esse dia foi mágico. Último dia na ilha de Ibiza. Sol se pondo no mediterrâneo. Mês de outubro, ja não era verão. Ainda assim, a água estava na temperatura perfeita, e o sol, que havia passado metade da tarde escondido, resolver aparecer para dar seu show. E que show. 

   Ibiza é uma ilha-paraíso. Muito mais do que festas, Ibiza é água cristalina, pequenas praias de pedra que combinam perfeitamente com o azul do céu e o verde do mar, casas brancas como as nuvens, peixes por todas as partes. Estou apaixonada por essa ilha, e estando a 30 min de avião, pretendo ainda voltar muitas e muitas vezes. 

   The most beautiful sunset I`ve ever seen. I know saying that is a risky affirmation, because to me, that`s always been the most spectacular time of the day, never the same, always impressive. But this day was magical. Last day in the Ibiza island. Sun setting on the Mediterranean. October, it was not summer anymore. Still, the water had the perfect temperature, and the sun, who had spent half of the afternoon hidden, decided to show up for his big show. And what a show. 

    Ibiza is a paradise-island. Much more than parties, Ibiza is crystal clear water, small stone beaches that match perfectly with the blue sky and green water, white as clouds houses, fishes all over. I`m in love with this island, and being 30 min away by plane, I intend to come back many and many times.

Girona - España.

     Girona fica no norte da Espanha, região da Cataluña, quase fronteira com a França. Possui uma parte antiga, medieval, com um bairro judeu, que fica separada da parte moderna por um rio. Estive na cidade à noite, fica pertinho de Barcelona. Suas ruelas estreitas e caminhos em pedra, arcadas, porta e janelas em madeira são bucólicas, mas à noite ganham um ar ainda mais especial, com a energia de centenas de anos de existência e memórias das pessoas que alí viveram.

      Girona it`s located in the north of Spain, at Cataluña, almost border with France. The city has an old, medieval part, with a jewish neighborhood, that`s separated from the modern city by a river.
I was in the city at night, it`s close to Barcelona. It`s narrow streets and rock paths, arcades, wooden doors and windows are bucolic, but at night it becomes even more special, with an energy of thousand of years of existence and the memories of the people who lived there. 

Sunset Ashram - Cala Conta, Ibiza.

       Passei 2 dias em Ibiza e Formentera, 2 das 4 ilhas integrantes das chamadas Ilhas Baleares, no litoral da Espanha. Formentera é conhecida por sua água cristalina e praias paradisíacas, mas Ibiza, que não perde em nada para sua ilha vizinha, é mais conhecida pelas festas. Uma injustiça, devo dizer, pois Ibiza possui praias maravilhosas de um mar azul incrível e restaurantes perfeitamente localizados, como esse que mostro aqui, chamado Sunset Ashram, que fica na Cala Conta, a 15 minutos de Sant Antoni, um dos centros da ilha. 

     O restaurante fica em cima de um penhasco, e parece nascido das pedras, totalmente integrado à natureza. A vista é simplesmente espetacular, a comida simples mas saborosa, uma sangria de cava perfeita para apreciar um mar com mais tons de azul que nosso olho consegue perceber. Além disso um dj tocando musicas chill out torna o clima ainda mais perfeito. Recomendo!

         I spent 2 days in Ibiza and Formentera, 2 of the 4 islands that are part of the Balearic Islands, in the coast of Spain. Formentera is known for it´s cristal clear water e paradisiac beaches, but Ibiza is more known for it´s parties, a injustice, I must say. Ibiza has amazing beaches of an incredible blue sea e perfectly located restaurants, like this one here, called Sunset Ashram, on Cala Conta, 15 minutes from Sant Antoni, one of the islands downtowns.

         The restaurant is above a cliff by the ocean, and appears to be born out of the rocks, totally integrated with the nature around. The view is spetacular, the food simple but tasty, complemented by a Sangria de Cava (typical spanish drink) perfect to go with a sea with more tones of blue that our eyes can realize. Besides, a dj playing chill out music makes the mood more than perfect. I surely recomend it!

Fiestas de la Mercé 2011 - Barcelona

   Este final de semana Barcelona brilhou com as festas da Mercé, as maiores e mais importantes festas da cidade, em homenagem à padroeira, a Virgen de la Mercé. As festividades existem desde 1871, e cada ano se tornam maiores e mais variadas, com espetáculos, instalações, concertos e atividades culturais durante 4 dias. Faltou um tempo e um clone para acompanhar tudo, as atividades ocorrem simultaneamente em diversos pontos da cidade, mas consegui ver algumas coisas, que renderam ótimas fotos além de momentos memoráveis. 

   Começando com esta instalação no Parc de la Ciutadela, um mini parque de diversões antigo feito com sucata e que funcionava de verdade, para as crianças, claro. Foi feito por uma companhia chamada "Antigua i Barbuda" ( http://www.antiguaibarbuda.org/ ). 

   Divirtam-se! 

   This weekend Barcelona has shined with the Mercé parties, the biggest and more important parties of the town, in honor to their patron saint, the virgin of Mercé. Those festivities exists since 1871, and every year become bigger e more rich, with shows, concerts, instalations and cultural activities for 4 days. 

 I missed having a clone to see everything, the activities happens simultaneously all around the town, but I could see a few things, that gave me great pictures besides some memorable moments.

    Starting with this instalation on the Ciutadela Parc, a mini amusements park made with recicled trash that really worked (for kids, of course). It was made by a company called "Antigua i Barbuda ( http://www.antiguaibarbuda.org/ ).
