Etna, Sicilia.

   The Etna Volcano, located in Sicily, Italy, is the most active volcano in Europe and can be seen from the moon. I have this weird fascination for volcanoes, they are so powerful, beautiful, and yet so mortal... I´ve been to Pompeia before, a whole city destroyed in a couple of hours, because of the Vesuvio. Now in Sicily, one of the firsts places I decided that I had to visit was the Etna. And it´s impressive. An almost lunar environment, with the smoke from the main crater reaching the sky, I got till 2.600 meters of altitude, and you notice, when you´re walking up, that the air is rare, I felt somewhat breathless! It´s an amazing experience, but I still hope to have the opportunity to make photos when there´s a eruption happening. Maybe next time! ;) 

     El volcano Etna, en la Sicilia, Italia, es el volcán mas activo de Europa y puede ser visto desde la luna. Yo tengo esta extraña fascinación por volcanes, son tan poderosos, lindos, y mortales... Estuve en Pompeia antes, una ciudad entera destruida en un par de horas, por el Vesuvio. Ahora en Sicilia, uno de los primeros sitios que decidí que tenía que conocer  ha sido el Etna. Y es impresionante. Un paisaje casi lunar, con el humo de la cráter principal subiendo rumbo al cielo, llegue a los 2.600 metros de altitud, y se puede percibir, mientras se sube, que el aire es más raro, me sentí un poco sin aliento! Es una experiencia increíble, pero yo aún espero tener la oportunidad de hacer fotos cuando habrá una erupción. Quizás la próxima vez! ;)

Roma

      Estive em Roma por uma semana, na época do natal. É uma cidade maravilhosa, com história por todos os lados, e mesmo quem nunca esteve lá sente que já a conhece por seus monumentos e fontes tão famosos. Eu vi tudo isso, e vi mais. Vi uma cidade que foi construída na beira de um rio, onde para mim estão algumas das vistas mais bonitas de toda Roma. E é essa a Roma que quero mostrar pra vocês aqui, aquela fora dos cartões postais, aquela que só quem mora lá ou tem tempo de sair um pouco do circuito turístico consegue aproveitar, e que é linda, clássica e fascinante.

    I`ve been to Rome for a week, during Christma`s time. It´s a wonderfull city, full of history, and even those who have never been there feel like they already know it for it`s so famous monuments and fountains. I saw all that, and saw more. I saw a city that was built by the river, where in my opinion are some of the best views of all Rome. And that`s the Rome that I want to show you, the one outside the postcards, the one that only those who live there or have the time to get out of the turistical circuit can enjoy, and it`s beautiful, classical and fascinating.
